YOu just have to accept that water and dust leaks plus the squeaks that you just can't find, were all factory applied and live with it !! That little truck of mine would go about anywhere !!! These deays I would need a better seat than the factory jobbie and the original left you lame after a few hours (and that was when I was 20 !!).

97 Sidekick 4x4, 60 Hampster Power, 4 speed heavy duty auto tranny out of a Chevy truck, factory transfer case, manual hubs, manual transfer case 4hi, 4lo, 2wd, nuetral. Front and rear diffs geared low. I get passed by loaded Super B Trains doing 15 KM/h uphills. (them doing 15, not me) No rear seat, full size spare mud terrain bolted to rear floor. Interior truck bed coated and often full of water when it rains. Donaldson 3 stage commercial truck air filter up high on the roof. Donaldson 1 micron oil filter, remote mount transmission filter and power steering filter. Derale power steering cooler, Dana Corporation 30,000 LB GVW commercial truck transmission cooler. Synthetic fluids all round. (RedLine). Engine bay heat vent in hood. 10 can Krylon Camp Green paint job. IPF driving lights. 2 Military Scepter fuel cans on rear door. Broken roof rack mounts and roof basket, full of firewood, old heater hoses, leaves, hi lift jack plate, fuel can 1990 Mazda 2200 (Made in Japan for canada market). 350,890 KM's on it. 90 Hp inline 4. Still has factory compression ration and honing marks on the cylinder walls. 2wd 5 speed manual trans. Custom rear bed rack with steel boxes to hold jerry cans for chainsaw fuel and truck fuel. Been to hell and back on Forest service roads. Not used at all anymore, transmission is clunky and it overheats due to a missing sensor, but i keep it as a spare. Broken windshield and sometimes there exhaust system. Used this for decades to explore, even really rough decommissioned roads. Have manually winched it with a come-a-long or ropes or ropes and pulleys and used logs to lever lift it over obstacles thousands of times. Its seen more offroad than a lot of 4x4's. the Jeep. 2005 Jeep Libery CRD (Diesel). 2.8L intercooled / turbo'ed inline 4 cyl diesel. Gobs of torque. 1000KM range on one tank of diesel (80 Liters) , Custom rear cargo shelf, ARB heavy duty winch bumper, ARB 3/8" thick steel rear diff cover, OLD MAN EMU 1.5" lift and suspension, BFG KO2 All Terrains, Full synthetic fluids all round. Auto tranny, Auto hubs, Custom aluminium roof rack. Moneypit. Currently down for the count. Saving up for a new turbo and oil cooler.
