No real good pics of it when I finished it...this was a very capable off road vehicle...had it's quirks but a great vehicle...sold it when my boys got too big.

That's awesome. I bet it can handle some tight trails with ease. I'm a big fan of gutter mount platform roof racks. I wish something like that was a possibility on my Tacoma.

That is slick. You got the important mods knocked out. What's next?

    Thanks!

Next is a second battery under the hood for running the fridge and the 2-way radio and some all-terrain tires to replace the lightweight street tries

Thanks! It goes pretty much everywhere. Super reliable.

What don't you like about the existing rack options for the Tacomas? Load rating?

No particular issue but my Tacoma doesn’t have roof mounting points on the cab. At the moment I have a Prinsu Designs rack on the camper top. It’s been a great rack for 3 years.

Just spent the day doing some maintenance work and general damage repairs on the Zombie Express (Godkids named it back when) ...I have to take it into work in the next couple of weeks as one of the guys I work with is going to do so electrical work on it for me. It needs a switch shut off the headlight (its Euro Spec so the HL is ALWAYS on) as well are wire up a HID conversion and probably add a pair of small LED driving light is where the front indicators use to mount. The factory light is horrible, coming off the hills the other night I had to stop 1/2 way down a track and use my torch to search for the best path through a washed out section, the HL was too dull and yellow...

    Old pic...

...since then I have had additional support brackets fabricated for the back rack, they attach down onto the rear passenger foot peg brackets, had this done at the same time the frame was being welded back together after the rack snapped it (I say fatigue others suggest it was me jumping it - other are too judgemental), I also have a new bracket for that Kolpin case that gets it riding much lower.

Thank you. I bought it with all the stuff on it. I've had it a year the past March. it has a 2.5" lift, 20x12 Moto Metal Wheels, 35x12.20 MTZs, 5.13 Gears, Dynomax Catback exhaust, Smittybuilt front and rear bumpers, rock rails & fender flares. Also has a Warn 9.5ti winch.

I am really wanting a roof rack for it. The one I want is about $1500, so not sure if it will ever happen.

It's a fun capable vehicle. Although, it's been a pavement queen since I got it. With work and kids I don't get much time to take it off road.

Not a thing wrong with that. Its there for you when the stars align.

It looks awesome and the list there proves it will kick some butt off road!

This thread makes me want more and different vehicles, y'all are a bad influence. My latest... thinking a lift, wheels/tires, and maybe bumper guard/skid plates may be in the future. Will see how far that goes as this is my daily too.
