Man, I was just listening to "Metamodern Sounds in Country Music" last night, for about the 5,000th time. So damn good...
A good friend of mine died 4 years ago this June at the age of 51. A friend and mentor in life and business, that also played the banjo. We rode bikes and hunted quite a bit and I can't hear this song and NOT think of my buddy Tommy Cansler.
Agreed! Every time I hear someone say no new country is any good, I tell them to listen to anything not on the radio. Sturgill is one of many new country artists that are keeping the genre alive.
....yep....just doing the music back and forth with a dear dear friend of mine. I love Chris Stapleton, my offering in today's conversation was him singing "Broken Halos". I got steered into a song called "Sit Awhile" by The Band Steele.
