This thread is about that knife.

    Mine is an original SE,
but we can discuss all of them: se, serrated, tanto, etc.

I don't like the stock sheath.
I'll explain why later using videos.
I have chosen a replacement: Fightworthy Gen II.

Yes, pics will come. But not tonight .. this morning (it's nearly 2 am ).

Oh, and I'll address why I like this knife
(due in part to its similarity to an Izula),
and why I think it's worthy of an SD role.

All opinions and experiences are welcome.

    Edit: added a word

Thought I might get back to this thread today, but it was too nice out, so I went for a walk in the woods, instead.

Just this for now. I've been carving on the stock sheath. I removed the belt clip weeks ago, and am trying to simulate with the plastic stock sheath more the shape/feeling of the replacement, even though the replacement will be kydex.

Yeah, pics to come. But it's bed time now.

    Just to dispell those all-too-common
Internet rumors that TDI doesn't exist ...

Yes, Virginia, there is a TDI.

    The wood is birch; regional.
A 3/4" piece, cut to size, finished.
It's my workstation for tools and maintenance.

    Back to the knife ...

What makes it unique is it's diminutive size and that curve from handle to spine.
The angle is similar to those on pistols and revolvers.

Had one for a while. Honestly I got tired of carrying a blade that really had only a defensive purpose. I need a more versatile blade. I have a pistol for defensive needs.

I hear you, VG. I, too, carry a pistol, daily.

Yet, something tells me this blade needs a place in my kit, on my belt, crossdraw.

I've owned a few over the years and think they're a good design, but I rarely carry a fixed blade anymore and when I do it's something better suited for my uses.

We still have a TDI trainer knife somewhere, but I haven't actually seen it in a year or two.

    Same here.

My Buck 110 does just as good a job stabbing a fool.

Wouldn't be so bad. I'd get it like a little hornet in no time flat.

Agreed. You might as well stab someone with a ripe plum as that knife.
