A beautiful Yuma for sale over at BCUSA http://bushcraftusa.com/forum/threads/the-tm-hunt-yuma.189207/
I believe the same one is posted on bladeforums in the Custom knives exchange. Like Delkancott said, it's a spectacular one!
Thanks. It seems I will. One thing that's tough though is carrying it. It's definitely a weight on the belt. You do! Thanks.
Played with it some more today after splitting wood. Cleaning some cherry. A kind of before shot: M-18 by Delkan Cott, on Flickr After a few minutes: M-18 by Delkan Cott, on Flickr M-18 by Delkan Cott, on Flickr M-18 by Delkan Cott, on Flickr M-18 by Delkan Cott, on Flickr
This one is expensive but pretty well made and actually secures to the belt fairly solid. http://www.dlttrading.com/bark-river-baldric-by-great-lakes-leather Paracord or nylon strap after a secure wrap with paracord on the original belt loop works well also.
Love all the pics! I have a Kydex sheath I made for mine that has a Tek Lock on it. It puts the handle up higher above your hip so it helps with the balance of the knife. If you are interested in testing it out I am happy to send it to you for you to try. It might help!
Thanks for the offer @Scott Whittington. I'd be willing to try if you don't mind. I ended up finding a strap from something and rigged some woven paracord through the sheath loop, but it seems like it'll swing around a lot so I'm still up in the air on best carry method.
clip a carabiner through a belt loop and around the strap - it won't add any weight and will stop the wide swinging.
Some quick shots of my makeshift baldric rig from paracord, d rings and an adjustable strap I found in the basement. And then a shot of the M18 working as a marking implement (it's the perfect length) and then a glamour shot.
