Would love to hear your thoughts on the Chief! I love them but we have not gotten enough for me to sneak one away from inventory yet!
Really close to picking up a M18. Anyone want to push me over the edge? How does it compare to a more traditi Nail WSK?
It is the bee's knees. I would just like to see a report about how you use one around the farm. You can do a bunch of the bushcrafty usual but it works pretty well for squaring posts and removing material quickly, scraping stuff off equipment and floors, etc. It is a tool with multitasking in mind.
it's like a WSK - except it works. there's enough blade up front to safely hold when using it as a drawknife, the front flat does good duty as a chisel/scraper/slick it chops like a hatchet it can be used as an ULU the little bitty tit in front of the sharpening choil works well as a sinew splitter it'll cut through a 2x4 in 6 strikes.....
Just read this thread: http://www.bladeforums.com/forums/showthread.php/993542-The-M-18-(official)?p=16834766#post16834766 not happy about it.
That knife is one that you typically are going to be able to get your money back with if you are not happy. I can't remember how many Todd has done but you seldom see one for sale. Even his users command a premium because they are bomb proof. I wish I had video of the abuse I have put one through.
