I agree with you, my only gripe is that I don't understand the entitlement of some people that makes them think they are entitled to a free knife after abusing it until failure. If I did this and was impressed with how much abuse it took, I would want to support the company by BUYING another one, not expect them to just GIVE me another one.
That's because you're a decent person. Luckily, enough people are decent that companies like ESEE and LL Bean can keep the warranties like this in place. Obviously if everyone who bought a knife returned it, they would have to change the warranty.
So, if I'm reading this right, in order to purchase a knife with a "no questions asked" warranty, the purchaser should have to answer a few questions first? Makes perfect sense....
Well, if you don't know, how are we sure you won't do the same thing??? Hint: Don't microwave them. Even though they're not made out of tin foil, you still can't put them in the microwave. (they don't tell you that on the box but it's true).
