I carry a camo huntsman with totrise gear fire tinder and ferro rod insert instead of tooth pick.

Didn’t ever realize there was an SAK thread on here. I carried the Bantam around for years and came to really love the shape of the SAK blade, and how quick and easy it is to get wicked sharp on a basic ceramic hone. The toothpick also became indispensable as I have a couple of stubborn spots where food likes to get stuck.
I tend to use my pocket knife as a paring knife in the kitchen though, so I was always carrying another blade to supplement the Bantam, which just felt unnecessary. Rather than just do what everyone else does and use kitchen knives like a normal person, I ended up getting a Sentinel. I prefer this two-hand style of blade as it’s less obtrusive when I’m getting something out of my pocket. This version doesn’t come with a pocket clip though, so I popped off the scale of the one-handed Sentinel (which I already had) and swapped it over. I’ve been carrying this now every day, for six months or so, and I love it. The only thing I’d add is that little multi-tool the Bantam has, because I find a light flathead to be indispensable for poking and prying. Regardless, I’m pretty happy with the Sentinel. It’s long and thin enough to use in the kitchen, it’s legal to carry in most jurisdictions, it’s easy to sharpen, it’s super light, it has a small footprint for its size, and it doesn’t raise eyebrows when I use it in public (I wish that last bit didn’t matter, but I’ve found it does). Great knife.

Always thought the Cadet was not for me. I like the package but the nail file thing would be better off as also most any other tool. Cadet with small blade or scissors or awl. Anyone would be better. Still sucks compared to most small cellidor models.

Spent a recent weekend with the Cadet as my only knife due to circumstances/ a dare. Normal weekend probably wouldn't have mattered. It turned out to be a very eventful weekend that spiraled into a suckfest (someone has probably trademarked that by now).

The Cadet now has my respect, although I'll never carry one by choice. It has a place on my coffee table. As a reminder, and a tool.

After handling it a bit more I will retract my above comment about never carrying one by choice. I should have said that I prefer a different tool set. It's still a good blade with some useful tools.
