very true! I too prefer to dig with digging stick. (Or shovel if I’m carrying one). i like options in my my gear. Try to have everything multipurpose I’m more stoked at the no corrosion, waterproof, and rodent proof aspect of this tin…. Be great for setting up caches
I just received a low cost clone of the overpriced Benchmade SOCP Dagger from Amazon that I ordered. I'm pleasantly surprised as to how good the quality of the Dagger and kydex sheath is. The brand is HUAAO SOCP Fixed Blade Dagger with Green Kydex Sheath. There are options for other colors of knife and sheath. Price was $22.99 not including shipping. I got it a day early, fast shipping! I started a thread on it in this "other knives" section that gives more info. This knife was affordable with my medical debt and part time work and medical issues. Also, due to worsening neuropathy in my hands I can draw this knife and its ready to go, it's hard to work a folding knife with any speed.

Got a tarp today..... The Solognac lightweight 2.8m x 2.95m (allmost 10'x10') . They call the color Khaki, looks more like a forest green or olive drab to me. Cant wait to go out and set it up. BK-16 for size references. A new small (320 ml) Ti mug with a lid, small pouch (for making a firekit) and a container to bring some eggs along on my hikes.
