Thanks We hope so. It won’t be cheap, but the farm hasn’t had a decent tractor in at least a decade so now felt like the right time. My dads a bit of a hoarder so we have now 70 tractor carcasses and none usable so this hopefully can serve the farm faithfully for the next 10 years.
I have a Fiskars (I forget which model, but it's about 3' long) that I bought back in 2013. I haven't been nice to it at all. The plastic around the head finally cracked the other day and while there's some wiggle the damn thing still splits firewood. I know how dangerous it is to swing a loose head around but part of me wants to find out just where the point of destruction is for this little tank.
Joe x did some destruction videos on different fiskars models if you can hare to watch him... so you dont have to find out yourself
Did some camping and canoeing from public land to a private pull out/camp spot several years ago. During the trip we had an older Fiskars crack and the head get wobbly. Wrapped it with gorilla tape and kept using it. At the end of the trip we left it with the property owner who said he'd like to try to fix it. Two years later was camping on the same property and noticed a guy using the still wrapped with tape axe to split some wood.
I might have scored a Coleman folding camp oven , plus some GEAR AMERICA snatch pulleys (wire and braid compatible) . Can’t wait to make biscuits in the oven over my Coleman naptha stove . I actually designed the rear cargo shelf in my Jeep to hold a Coleman stove
My bro has one of those. It seems like an el cheapo stamped tin can in construction but it bloody works. Man can make a freaking double layer birthday cake 3 days deep on a swampland island! ( I know because I saw him do it.)
Add a piece of 1/4 aluminum plate to the bottom of that oven and it helps stabilize the temps a little. I have one but haven't used it very much. Need to play with it more.
2 X 5 liter jugs of LiquiMoly 0W40 full synthetic oil for the diesel Jeep. Plus a can of engine flush. Stuff is amazing in the diesel Jeep.
Right on! I honestly want to give their spoon knife a go too. I’ve been using a Mora Kniv one for a log while, but I think the Beaver Craft one may be at a preferred angle for me.
I've been too busy to unrap them, I took them out of the box and laid them on my workbench. I'm planning to make a tool roll for them.
After years and years of lusting over the 2011 platform I finally pulled the trigger on a Staccato P. It’s on its way to me and I’m really excited to completely fumble figuring out a different manual of arms lol. I’ve been shooting non-thumb-safety striker fired guns for the last 12 or so years (that was the last time I had a 1911) so this will be quite the change.
