I have .44'ed a few with both rifle and pistol, good as long as you do your part and the range is appropriate. I am just sorting out a Win94 for a rebarrel to .44rem.
Agreed, I just have an open sight revolver so it would definitely have to be 100 yards or under. I'm going to try to take a whitetail this year with it. I've never handgun hunted but I have spent a lot of time at the range so we'll see.
I've had a few. Actually about as good as a fish can be. Just depends on the body of water it was caught from.
So I moved here a couple months ago. Decided to set up a spot 2 weeks ago about 4 miles down the road in the next town over. This is the first buck I got on camera. I can’t brag yet, but I’m gonna ruin his day at some point.
This morning's haul - a nice ruffie and a fat blue. Two shots, two kills. Props to my diehard GSP, Hank.
I think you have to request a permit to claim the carcass for meat. Similar with the antlers, you can request to purchase them from the game commission for $10 per point. Makes a lot of sense right...
