Have you gotten much use out of that Holosun? Never owned one until I mounted a 507 to a handgun last week. But haven't gotten any trigger time behind it. :(

That's a great looking setup you have there on your Ruger. I've got a Buckmark that's very similar and I enjoy it more than probably any other gun I own.

I've shot a few hundred rounds through it with no issue. You'll have to put a piece of tape over the solar panel to weaken the brightness of the dot or in sunlight it is at max brightness. This is dedicated to a hill people kit bag also.

Recent acquisition. Got a 16" Norinco SKS in great shape. Had the bayonet "sag" going on which was remedied with a chainsaw file and a bottle of bluing solution. Tossed this stock pouch from Triad Tactical on which carries 3 stripper clips. And a pretty cool patch which bears the official motto of us native born Floridian men. Now I just need to score a canvas sling.

So my dealer was finally able to submit my Form 4 via the ATF's eForms system today. The server has had so much traffic that we haven't been able to log on for about 2 weeks now. Anyhow, here's my host with the first two mags on a B27 at 10 yds. using some 230 gr. range rounds. It's my first FN and is definitely different than any other handgun I own. If I had to describe it, I'd say it's like the G21 and a P226 had a baby.

How long did Form 3 approval take? I've been waiting a week.

Hey man, congrats on the purchase! What did you order? I had to dig through my Silencer Shop account to get this info. My order was placed on Jan. 26th. I had to email them on Feb 28th to see about my order because it still had not shipped. I think everything NFA related is crawling due to eForms making a return for Form 4 items. Here's a screenshot of my timeline:

I hope this helps. I was a little discouraged after getting my hopes up for a smooth and quick process. It is, after all, the federal government were dealing with. When they say they've got a new and improved way to do something, get your popcorn ready and have a seat. Remember, these are the same brainiacs that mandated a "spill proof" gas can.

Take care of yourself brother. Drop me a line if I can share anything else about my order or be of any help. I'll definitely send you a message when I get my Form 4 approval. But personally I'm cautiously optimistic with the whole "90 days" promise from the ATF.

Thanks for the quick reply. I am waiting on a Dead Air Sandman-S. I ordered just last week. Yeah... I'm not expecting a 90 day wait but hoping it's not twice that.

How does the fnx shoot? I recently handled the 45 fnx tactical at cabelas. They have trigger locks on everything and won’t let you try the triggers. The fnx 45 is definitely in a category by itself. I have a a Glock 21 gen 2, the first model of .45 acp caliber. Looking to upgrade to a railed version so I can put a light on it.

The SA trigger weight is neck and neck with a factory Glock. So if you don't mind DA/SA pistols and you're used to shooting Glocks I think you'd like it. If you had said you were a 1911 guy and looking for a double stack alternative, you'd likely hate it. The only dislike I have is cost. The initial sticker shock and $50 mags.

The fnx 45 is definitely in it’s own class. I’ve been debating just getting a new Glock 21 and having it milled for a red dot and getting a threaded barrel for a future suppressor or buying the fnx. I would probably have some change leftover for the price of the fnx. Mags are definitely cheaper for the Glock and available in town. I do appreciate the fully ambidextrous design of the fnx being a lefty. Glocks are boring though…
