The dog lapped it up readily in the grass. There might be something to that "refrigerate after opening" thing. Lol!

So I thought the best way to test all these spices would be to make deviled eggs.

Guess who is out of mayo.

Got my gift in late on Friday and did not get a chance to open it until Saturday. I got a great bandage/first aid kit. The timing was perfect as we had to use it Saturday afternoon. Customer cut the snot out of themselves in the shop with an ESEE Junglas of all things. Customer dropped the knife and tried to jump back. When they did the Junglas went straight across their calf. After 19 stitches at the doc in the box they are going to be fine. Sorry I would have taken pics but I don't think the customer would have been happy with me at the time!

Thank you to my secret Santa for this perfectly timed present!

I came home to an awesome surprise tonight!
    20161219_195516.jpg

    - (10) re-usable desiccant tins
    - Mora "All-Around" 711
    - CRKT Mt. Rainier folder
    - Klein Coping Blade
    - Surefire HL-1 helmet light
    - ESEE dogtag
    - Safety/Rape whistle :p
    - Flint stones (?)
    - Smith's Arkansas sharpening stone
    - Beefy strap buckle
    - Vintage Schick shaver
    - WileyX glasses w/ replaceable lenses
    - Mini compass
    - Flashlight kydex
    - Some (very tasty) @RedEyedHog seasoning
    - Worst-Case Scenario Guide to "Surviving the Holidays"
    - a nice leather "Bag of Holding" with a sweet li'l antler bead
    - and a chunky leather sheath (fits the Mora nicely).

@RocketmanDane sent me a PM to let me know the note he was going to include didn't make it in the box, but he said there's a story (stories?) behind some of these items, so I'll let him explain in more detail

All I can say is Thank You Dane for these awesome gifts. This is way more than I was expecting and I'm really stoked to hear the backstory on some these things!

I already used the seasoning on some roasted potatoes tonight. Damn, that stuff is good - I think that container will be gone pretty quickly, lol. :D

Thank you @RocketmanDane - and Merry Christmas to you!!!

    - Klein Coping Blade
    - Surefire HL-1 helmet light Red and white
    - ESEE dogtag
    - Safety/Rape whistle :p (Exactly what I was given it for... Because the M16 I lugged everywhere even into the pooper stall apparently wasn't enough :) )
    - Flint stones from Makhtesh Ramon in Israel's Negev desert. Located at the peak of Mount Negev.
    - Smith's Arkansas sharpening stone
    - Buckle removed from decommissioned 26 foot parachute, This is the buckle used to make a true and Authentic riggers belt :)
    - Vintage Schick shaver
    - WileyX glasses/ goggles w/ replaceable lenses and dust shielding
    - Mini compass
    - kydex sheath for ESSE basic fero rod/ handle. Fits stock ESEE sheaths
    - Some (very tasty) @RedEyedHog seasoning
    - Worst-Case Scenario Guide to "Surviving the Holidays" which happens to have currently undiscovered swag concealed in side :)
    - a nice leather "Bag of Holding" with a sweet li'l antler bead ( WolfmanZach type I believe)

What do you carry now that is so much better than an M16 that you no longer need a rape whistle?
How much does the bag of holding increase your weight carrying capacity stat?
