I just picked one up from the sell forum and I think I might add the pslk drop point to it. Should make it even look more like the pslk.

Don't know yet. Out of the knives I have with TKC scales (izula, compact 4, 5 and 6), I think the scales might be the least transformative on the 6, but I still love them. Time will tell.

I too am torn as to which I prefer. Haven't spent enough time with the HM, but I do love how it feels. I don't have large hands, so the fact I can "choke up" on the HM without interference from a choil is nice. Not that a standard 6 gave me big trouble. It is just a feel thing right now. Use of them side by side will determine a winner.

This could be really misconstrued, especially with the twisted mind's here.
But definitely appreciate the input Brian.

I didn't even know this knife existed until last weekend at BeckerWest. I ordered one right up when I got home , #0215, I can't put it down. Legit

Had the 6HM for about 10 days now. Gotta say, I love this knife. Along with the 4HM and Izula 2, I think it makes the perfect blade system. Not really a traditional sheath fan. They are well made, however. Being a south paul, it really doesn't work for me. Big fan of kydex, go figure. Waiting on a pancake from Azwelk for the 4HM, and just noticed today that He is now making them for the 6HM. Gear budget is already blown for the next month, so I will have to wait and order one for the 6HM. Ramble mode off.

    Cheers,

    BC

Can't go wrong with azwelke. I have several of his sheaths and don't regret any of them.

An open question for owners of the 6HM, will it fit and have decent retention in a standard Esee 6 plastic sheath? I have a spare 6 sheath and can't stand the leather sheath, if the plastic sheath is a viable option then I might have to get one

It fits, but you don't really have much if any retention. I guess you could really tighten down the clip screws and have a little more.

The retention is above where the choil would be on the handle

I've had my 6 HM for about a week now and can honestly say/answer definitively that if I had to pick one knife to have in the woods this would be it. Before I would have listed 4 to 5 options. What a great woods knife this is. I look forward to beating the **** out of it for years to come.

Hands down, the -6HM is my choice.

If only it were made from 1/4" metal stock,

    In, like CPM3V,

    With bead-blasted finish,

    Accentuate the drop point..........

    A guy can dream, right?
