Any truth to my thought that some time in the humidor out of the celophane makes a cigar taste better?
@Strigidae My thoughts are it's just additional aging time in the humidor makes them better. Doesn't really make a difference I can tell in or out of the cellophane. I've got some Opus X that have now been in the humidor 3-4 years, some in the cellophane, some not, and all are better more flavorful just from the additional aging time but I really can't discern between either method, both improved over time. Theory is aging up to additional 5 years is good based on what I've read, after that they supposedly retain what's happened at 5 years indefinitely. I've never kept any there longer than 5 years to know but I have smoked one Cuban that was well over 50 years old aged properly in a humidor that was amazing!
