Buttermilk Maple Gin Flip...‘‘twas not my first drink.
I hope your visions better than this picture quality... not that mine is.. (one eye squint whilst typing)
Regular gin flip
Picked up a new Irish for Thanksgiving.
Me Time hazy IPA from Lion Bridge Brewing in Cedar Rapids Iowa. Pillowy white foam on the pour, thick creamy head. Fresh green on the nose, pine and dank with a touch of fresh cut front yard. So there is a good punch of citrus, orange and lemon up front, some orange cream pop in the middle but that sweet is balanced by a fresh green bitter, pine and dank on the finish. Taste fresh like most of what these guys do.
Oktobot 3000 barrel aged imperial Oktoberfest style from Lion Bridge Brewing in Cedar Rapids Iowa. Whisky on the nose and right up front on the flavor. Not an overpowering booze hit but a nice mild flavorful taste. Behind that there is a sweeter malty caramel note with some of that woodsy char hanging out at the end. Different in a good way.
Yeah.. I wish lol
Appleton's rum and Coke.
Been a rough weekend.
Found termites in one of our walls. Window and frame completely gone. Several studs eaten up. Just a mess. Super stressed about the whole thing.
Damn those little bastards . Ive been there but with carpenter ants ..
Of everything I was expecting when we started into the wall, termites weren't even on the list. When the stud broke open and I saw the little bastards go running, I wanted to torch the whole thing...
Sorry to hear man. Hope you kill em all !!
Thanks. Exterminator is booked and we're getting a guy to come look at repairing it tomorrow.
I was iffy on replacing the window myself but when the top cap and the corner of the house were damaged, I think that's beyond my skill level here. Better to pay someone who actually knows what they're doing. We will be doing refinishing the drywall and doing the trim though since we're capable of that.

Blackberry Lemonade Monster Hustle IPA from The Brewing Projekt in Eau Claire WI, another treat from Wisconsin. Fresh berries on the nose. Flavor is right on the name, a real fresh berry and lemonade flavor through out. More of the fizzy lemonade flavor at the front with the end having that pithy dry. It's almost a sour, maybe not a sour, it's tart and tasty for sure.
Wet Hopped "Dare Mighty Things" IPA from The Brewing Projekt in Eau Claire WI. Via my Wisconsin Brother. Citrus on the nose, lemon and orange. Hop heavy, loads of hops, the taste is so fresh green you expect to see green. A very creamy brew, fluffy white foam hangs tough to the somewhat sweet but pithy finish.
The Emperor of Ice Cream Imperial Milk Stout from Lion Bridge Brewing in Cedar Rapids Iowa. They say strawberry, vanilla, and chocolate on the label and I get that on the nose, maybe more like a black cherry but for sure an inky black look. Sweet and creamy up front, cherry ice cream like, the sweet is subdued by the malty char, subdued but not removed. Good stuff, not as heavy as it tastes.
