My neighbour Gord , owner of TrapperGord trapping and outdoor supplies over in Alberta Canada , makes a few of these birch slat woven Pack baskets every few years. I was lucky to score a large one this year! lightweight, loads of cargo space , hugs the upper body / back with zero hard spots I’ll be brushing linseed oil on mine tomorrow I figure I could fit 3 x 15 can boxes of Reebs , plus room for a bunch of singles in this pack I stand 5’ 10” tall at 190 lbs
He’s gonna be the coolest shopper in the produce dept . The “flower power” girls are gonna love it…I can see where this is going!
Ours were similar in shape but not as tall, and generally had a single shoulder strap like a messenger bag. All kinds of pickable produce as well as wild berries and forage. ( I started using mine for a game bag too. The staining from animal fluids made my mother quite unhappy. . )
when I go grocery shopping here, we are banned from using shopping bags. The stores charge 25 to 50 cents for a paper bag, which fails by the time you walk out the door, esp in rain. Normally I grab empty cardboard boxes to carry my groceries, but they end up piling up in my apt because the cardboard recycling bin is full 100% of the time due to Amazon boxes . so I end up having 100 plus boxes in my apt every month hence the easy to use / load/ carry pack basket
ya had too many FOSTERS last night at bush camp and you licked a cane toad! That’s why yer lost! Ya went walkabout drunk and stoned on toad toxins
Only 55?? I wonder if you can get side pouches? Maybe fit a few more reebs?? Nice pack!!! That is awesome!! Never heard of using birch usually ash. Great pack hope you enjoy.
