Hit the half marathon mark today in a heavy route through some sand dunes and forest trails. Weather was perfect for a run today, cool but dry. Speeds are slower then I expected but I'm thrilled to make the 21km distance Thought that's a good reason to start a trailrunning thread here. Anyone else running around in the wilderness care to share some pics? Today's route: Some pics from the route:
I don't take many pics on runs anymore, but here's a few that were on my phone from earlier this year.
@C99c nice pics buddy. I love narrow bridges like that. My dog always finds them scary and he has a funny technique to go over them.... belly low and paws as wide apart as possible Wish we had some mountain here like in your pics....
I have a friend who should copy your dog's technique for the bridges. I've seen her face plant twice coming off of them.
We had some light snow here this morning. Good excuse to go out for a run. Hit the half marathon mark, that made me smile.
16km run with Guinness and my girlfriend on her bicycle. A nice way to spend time outside together in this crazy Corona virus times.
Full length documentary of the 2010 Western States 100 Unbreakable: The Western States 100 follows the four lead men on this amazing journey. Hal Koerner, two time defending Western States champion, and running store entrepreneur from Ashland, Oregon. Geoff Roes, undefeated at the 100-mile distance, an organic chef from Juneau, Alaska. Anton Krupicka, undefeated in every ultramarathon he has ever started, a graduate student living in Boulder, Colorado. Kilian Jornet, the young mountain runner and two time Ultra-trail du Mont-Blanc champion, from Spain. While their lives may be quite different, the goal is the same: win the Western States 100-mile run. A win will require breaking the course record and running the fastest time in the history of the race. An epic showdown ensues, from Squaw Valley, CA in Lake Tahoe, up though the high snow covered Sierra Nevada Mountains, down through the extreme heat of the American River Canyons and finishing in Auburn, CA. Though all four are undefeated, three must break and only one can remain Unbreakable.
17km run yesterday These suspention type bridges are impossible to run on for me.... Anyone got tops how to cross them faster?
