I use a .308 because I play a certified sniper in video games.

But my other calibers are .270, and .30-30 so it's not like i shoot anything exotic.

I always run Glock 40 bullets in my clip with extra clips in my kit all day long and I am just professional enough to do it.

    I double dog dare you.

I will start shooting 6.5 Creed when you can pick up the rifles 10 for $500 at Goodwill when everyone moves on to the next great thing. (Which will be the .25-06 by the way).

25/06 is a great round, it just never got traction out here like the .270Win. I did always want to toy with e .280AI but not enough motivation to do so. If I was wanted to build something on a long action now I would probably do a 6.5x55, they are really popular here again (they were all the rage in the late 70s and 80s with all the ex- Swedish rifles that arrived but have taken off again with a renewed interest in things longer range.

I am "overly committed" to .308Win but I have a real urge to build something in .260Rem as well.

    I prefer easy to find calibers; 30-06, .223, 22lr, 7.62x39, and 308.

I have only known a few people that have had .25-06. None of them were "experts", but did real world shooting and liked the round because it works well.

If I got an intermediate rifle it would probably be a 243. That hasn't happened because 30-06 and 204 Ruger cover all my bolt gun needs.

Did I mention I have two 6.5 Creedmoors...it is only my concern for my fellow shooters that makes one extoll the virtues of and convert others to this nirvana of brass and lead.

I sold my .308s both light and heavy enroute to enlightenment. I only used such anemic fodder because of free ammo.

I did purchase a used 25-06 once. The barrel looked like a potato field for about 4” in front of the chamber. It would shoot about a 4” group. It was traded.

Seriously I have a 6.5 Grendel that I am going to start shooting as the shells are 6 bucks for 20, and even that little thing will shoot farther than the anemic 308.

I am unsure about crossfit...but I try to exercise enough so my belt will still fitcross my middle!
