ooooh! this thread's needed some ^^Metalliica^^! I'll post my fav track another time (break at work/in studio, heading out for a walk in the backwoods on a cold day before an approaching storm, then more work ...) I've also been thinking about this thread some today, and the outline of an essay about music: what it really is, why and how it evolved, its existence in rudimentary forms in other animal species, and some other meandering thoughts .... but that needs to wait a bit -- still super busy, and by the time work is done, I sometimes lack sufficient neuron reserves for such heady topics, and just rock out instead.
^Hahahahaha!^ And in Idaho, you're just a hop and a skip across eastern and central Oregon from it. I went in a "back way" from the north, out of central OR through some serious desert (not for the unprepared), on an old 2-lane highway that literally deteriorated into an unmaintained, pot-holed single track overgrown with weeds, including sage, that in another ten miles became a gravel road into northern NV. It was the best intro to what BM was about that I could have wanted.
Metallica, an excellent group, but I still hold a mild grudge against them for killing Napster free P2P.
How 'bout this as a free stand-in for Friday night? She suffered a shut down by a studio, but then she bought the studio.
Decades later. Dare I post this? Well, it is nearly 2300 (2247) on Friday .. just before a predicted large storm creeping up the E coast hits here, so .
OK, just one more kick ass woman, then back to male music. I know, I know, this is not a music video, but a film clip. Just deal with it. We'll get bak on topic in 3, 2, 1 .
