CW music is not at the top of my list, but when I listen to it, George Strait is in my top five list, along with Clint Black, Johnny C (of course), and Waylon.
Charlie shall not be forgotten. He was a great. Been watching some Vikings, Season 4, Eps 5 and 6. Gaelic chants appeal right now just before bed, to wind down a bit ...
The first non-holiday Saturday night of the new year, 12:15 am. (As fate would have it, this was my post #1215.) I remember parties on the west coast where this kind of music -- different genre but the same intensity -- was played until 3 am, after which mellow music filtered in. I danced my ass off at those parties, even in my 50's.
big fan of red dirt, especially Oklahoma red dirt. probably due to the fact that my home town is considered the home of red dirt music
Holy Craptards!!! Scrolling down this page on my Smartphone I hit play on one of the videos. As it is playing I accidentally hit the play button on the next video and it starts playing on top of the first one. I now have every video playing at once. Now this is real music. All together now!!
^ You've all found the rhythm, tone and proper attitude for this thread. Please continue. For me, right now? Getting seriously laid back with some vodka and a downtempo set by one of my fav DJ's. (Context: I migrated east from the west coast, where this kind of music plays all night on big systems until sunrise. You move to it.) WARNING: this musique will either rot your soul or set it free. Younger people will grasp it faster. (We try not to free minds after a certain age; it's dangerous.) If listened to, it must be heard on quality gear that full represents the depths of the baseline, the kick, subtle nuances of melody -- such as it is -- and special effects (fx), especially from 20:00 on. Large subwoofer or studio-quality headphones strongly suggested.
^ Glad I'm not Nem. That's not dancing; that's swirling in slow motion to hippie music. :-o Mena and her friends have better movement, more soul and spirit. That's more like the way I dance. Psytrance was the first electronica I was exposed to that made me dance. I've moved on since then, but it's interesting to hear it again.
