Looks very professional. You have a talent for this stuff.
I've started on the final version of the add-on pocket. Double the padding and velcro loop for the interior of the main pocket.
I also whipped up something out of boredom. It's a 10x12 accessory pocket kinda like a certain one that's already made...but in waxed canvas!
I finishsd the final version of the front pocket I've been developing for my Umlindi. It's velcro-lined, has a segregated top pocket for instant retrieval of important items(hat, neck gaiter, gloves), waterproof 500D Cordura, and double- or triple-stitched on most seams...plus the seams are taped for strength. I love the end result.
Next up is a proper top pocket, for when more storage is needed.
Had some time to kill...made a new wallet lol...
The mother in law installs fiber optic cable for a living, and has been talking about wanting a nice tool bag for her everyday tool carry. She stopped by today and I surprised her with a little something.
These aren't the best shots, but they get the idea across. It's waxed canvas, double-walled. Front zip pocket for accessories/keys/etc. Dividers inside to keep the tools organized. Now I wanna make something similar for myself, with the nyco ripstop Multicam fabric I picked up today lol...
The project that was "brewing" in the Knives and Coughy thread:
Dude those are awesome !!!!
Thank you good sir! I'm enjoying making things. I'm about to make a number of the wallets in 1000D Cordura Multicam
So I've been making wallets. First for myself. Then the orders came in lol... The first three are happening now. A few more to go. Then one in all black.
And done with this small batch
Those wallets are Awesome!
Thank you sir! I prototyped it in 'inferior' materials and carried it for a while. Then I produced it in 1000D and Mil-spec/color-matched velcro/elastic/webbing. I'm enjoying it a lot.
The problem is that I'm starting to feel the limits of my machine, when I hit four layers of 1000D Cordura and up to four layers of grosgrain tape. It requires a sharp needle and loads of patience.
Today I made a prototype add-on pocket/compression panel for the Tarahumara.
You have an eye for the details sir. Very well done!
I'm making the 'real' version of the pocket above, with modifications to allow it to mount go a Tarahumara, Umlindi, and various other packs. I also deleted the ridiculously-low-utility front pocket in lieu of velcro for patches, and redid the interior organization with a simple slip pocket covered in loop. This will allow Tool Rolls, 58 Pouches, or various other customization.
Here it is. Ready to be used on the Tarahumara and Umlindi.
Picked this gem up today for $50.
More customer stuff... Both add-ons for HPG packs.
