trying to clean up the apt of 26 years of clutter / junk / garbage. Yesterday I removed 3 x 150 liter Husky bags of cardboard alone , old boxes, etc 4 hours into it so far today - many hours to go. Gear from all over the living room organized somewhat - top shelf is cookstoves/ twig stoves/ fuel next shelf is mess kits, Billy’s, Ghillie kettles (SAS MKettle X 3). Sadly my large Ghillie kettle doesn’t fit into the shelf next shelf is canteens / bottles nrxt shelf is bear/cougar control (bear spray, food hanging bags, air horn) , water treatment stuff (for truck camping), gear wash / waterproofing spray, logging grade industrial first aid kit (tan Pelican case). Pretty much everything on this shelf is for truck camping use still plugging away.
A few I learned the hard way - really good gear sometimes gets discontinued by makers. And that can be very frustrating. Having multiples of a item prevents that and can also be very lucrative $$$wise a decade down the road when there is none to be found a prime example is the TYR TACTICAL Jungle COMA load bearing webbing / pouches - (pics below) ……they decided to suddenly discontinue the entire line. - some friends of mine had the entire collection. They flipped their used kit for almost triple of what it cost new. I have two of the jungle COMA ButtPacks. Can’t find them anywhere anymore. I’ll probably never sell my two , but I have gotten insane $$$ offers for them already
