    I’m waiting on my skull logo Esee 5 to come in and am now looking at the Rat 5. I am looking at the leather sheath model with wood grips. I understand that blade thickness between the 2 is day and night different but other than that what is your thoughts on the Rat 5?

    The RAT doesn't have the great warranty that Esee provides. Also, I personally wouldn't want wood grips on a hard use sheath knife compared to micarta or other similar. The RAT sheath isn't as good either. For any of my hard use knives, they're all Esee.
    Though Esees aren't too expensive, my thoughts are, buy once- cry once.
