This is an absolutely fascinating topic for me. As it’s in my province / areas of operation all over the province. There is parts of this province where there is weird stuff , unexplained stuff happens. I’ve experienced unusual events myself an example is Anvil Island Porteau Cove, an area I regularly frequent. heavy dark oppressive feeling, darker than normal light , even on bright sunny days… like there is a heavy silence dark weight pressing down on you. Go 200 feet and it’s like it lifts… it’s all over certain regions of BC I encourage you all to watch all the series of videos - the poster is a former local police investigator, with serious credentials. be also has a huge number of case files / events documented in his books MISSING 411 CANADA part 1
BC. Fascinating Province. In 2019 we saw Sasquatch a few miles south of the Nass River Bridge. There have been other sightings by RCMP in the area. Most squatch sitings are road crossings as was ours. As documented by BFRO.
The wilderness is a strange place at times. Some years ago my best mate and I were hunting down into a ravine in New Zealand. It was really tough going and in hindsight we were both making some silly and possibly dangerous decisions. I know that we were both a bit worn out however for a period it was just not right. Long story short we hit a point where I said “nope, not doing this anymore” and suggested it best we backtrack and not go on with the route out and up we were planning. He agreed VERY easily (this is often not the case with us and we will spend more time planning/unpacking). Anyway it took a good couple of hours to get back onto what I now see was safe ground. Neither of us said much about it all till later that night. When we discussed it there was a point where we both started feeling a sense of foreboding and “something is not right here” but neither said anything thinking it was just the exertion and fatigue. With clearer heads we realised a few things. Both started to sense it around the same point and it lifted around the same point on the way out. It was something like neither of us had ever felt before and also neither of us were as fatigued as we “felt” down in that ravine. Once talking about it we were both “yep that was bloody weird”. I would also note we were walking well apart down there, so it’s not like we were sensing the other’s discomfort.
I know that exact feeling. Experienced a heavy darkness / oppressive feeling in middle of the day on a bright sunny day. Near Anvil Island Howe Sound. Local First Nations people talk about all the time. I get that same feeling in the canyon of the Hope / Princeton Hwy just west of Manning Park and in Yale , Fraser Csnyon, Boston Bar, Lytton, Lillooet , and the Stein Vallsy. I thought it was just me, then I started hearing more and more people that experienced the same . In the sane areas. one spot in Lytton, up the foothills, my compass needle spun in circles non stop , and my cell phone would not work . I walked back 50 feet or so and and the compass worked normally, as did the cell phone.
