Well he is in the right AO to do so and make it authentic !!
Thank you! I agree, he has some good taste. He plans on using it, so that was the driving force, I believe.
True story. Beginning October 1, I am going to start adding a "Teasle Surcharge" to each knife. This is to cover incidentals like ripped jeans, sutures, and canvas tarp clothing.
Here's a custom SSII recently completed. Will put the details in soon, busy day!
I just assumed you were always drooling, for the same reason you always wear a football helmet when you leave the house...
......... you have me confused with DJ.... I am the tall handsome one with the quaint accent !!!
You may be right...that would explain why he requested that I not actually put an edge on his knives.
...we all think it better he not have anything sharper than Nerf sword !
Here are a couple more pics. This SAFE System II has an aluminum handle, as opposed to the usual steel, to cut a little more weight and make it trail friendly.
It also has a blade just under 3/16" thick, and was ground to be a slicer. No GunKote on this one, per client request. It worked out well, the knife came in under 10 oz. Very pleased!
The client sent a couple of pics with their new toy.
And a few client photos of an SSII Kodiak out in the wild. I love seeing them get used!
Here's a pic or two of the P.A.L. Knife- Personal Attaché, Lightweight. Very pleased with this prototype, and the sculpted/machined handle came out exactly as I was hoping. And who doesn't love skull crusher pommels!
Thanks for looking!
I usually put a slightly thicker (but not thick) edge on "tactical" type knives, in case they are used in unforgiving circumstances. But the edge is still quite keen, in my opinion.
Finished a few more SSII Kodiaks recently. Really enjoy making these, and they bring a lot of functionality to a reasonably sized package.
That looks better than Christmas breakfast.
Lol, thanks guys. Maybe someday I'll have on for my very own.
A Koala...... I can soo have one in the post to you...... a fair trade for one of those lovely blades I think....
10-4 mate, meet me in the alley in 5 mins. (awkward white guy bro fist bump/hand jivin')
