@lcmcrumley That is one sweet EDC setup man, Luminox Atacama, Hinderer, Recycled Firefighter, a great Hank, & Glock, you don't get much better than that!!!!!! That's a fine quality setup.

Crap, I didn't realize I was in style with snot rags. I've used them since I was a kid. Usually just cheap white ones from JCPenny's for when I'm in a suit. The other times just what ever cheap blue, red, camo bandana I picked up. I mainly use them to wipe sweat, I'm a heavy sweater.. If I'm in a suit I'll use the white ones to blow my nose. If I'm outside working I'll just farmer blow as Jeff mentioned.

Ok guys I'm going to ask a dumb question and not trying to be a smart butt. While these fancy handkerchiefs look good what does a $20 handkerchief do that a $2 one doesn't? Am I missing something? Is it just for a cool factor? I mean they are to wipe sweat, nose, dirt, crap, blood, etc.

What am I missing or am I just too much a hick to get it?

The million dollar question that gets asked about knives, tools, coolers, cars, and now hanks! People buy what they like.

I understand people buy what they like and want. I have no issue with that. I was just wondering why the sudden craze over something like fancy handkerchiefs . I mean with a lot of things quality and price can go hand and hand up to a point. Example an ESEE is going to cost more but be better quality than a Chinese knife. But with everything once you get to a certain point its just for things you like about it. I don't have an issue with that.

I'm just seeing these fancy hankies and wondering if folks are going to wipe grease, blood, etc on them or be afraid to use them because they are too nice.

I meant nothing offensive to any one into them. I was just curious why then sudden craze about fancy booger rags. :)

Ha, I get what you mean. All of mine are simple white ones. My snazzy ones are some that my wife gave me with my initials on them.

I don't have an answer on the price justification. Seems to me like anyone with a sewing machine and a Joanne's fabric nearby could make them for a good bit cheaper than $20 a pop. Maybe I'm out of touch with the price of printed fabrics.

Gary, would you hesitate to use one of your EDC matched hanks for something that might stain it?

@timdgsr Let's just say I have something else handy when working on things but if the car broke down, bad cut, someone with a bloody nose, car accident, something else like that, and it's all I had wouldn't hesitate to use it. Most everything will wash out if washed right. That said I keep cheap ones or cheap bandanas in bags I carry, mechanics rags in my cars, so usually I have something else handy. But if it's all I had on me in an emergency, I'd use it in a heartbeat, and toss it if I had too. The emergency crap example applies!!!!!!
