My Regalia Innovations group buy 6 sheath is for sale. It has a nice drop loop attachment on it. This sheath ONLY fits the group buy ESEE 6. A normal 6 will NOT fit it. Has been my carry sheath for the last couple of years, but still in very excellent condition. Carried in a pack, but put on my belt when we got to camp. If you have a group buy 6 and need a nice carry sheath, this one is for you! SOLD!
The dimensions of the GB6 are slightly different than a standard 6, I'm not sure why. Godspeed had pre-made a whole bunch of ESEE 6 sheaths in anticipation of the GB6 release. Well, when they were released, none of the GB6s would fit into any of his pre-made ESEE 6 sheaths, which turned out to be a logistical nightmare. I was lucky to be one of the first ones to get mine early, but others waited for months afterwards to get their GB6.
Why are they different? Why would they make th BG6 different vs. just being a color variation of a regular 6?
Why? Well, I don't really know why. They are both a little different in size, nothing drastic. But for a kydex maker that presses very tightly, these little variations in size may make a difference. My GB6 will fit into my wife's ESEE 6 sheath, but her ESEE 6 won't fit into my GB6 sheath without having to force it in, leaving smoothing marks on the coating of her knife.
