Note: If this violates any forum policy, please let me know and delete it.
All federal and state regulations for the transfer and possession of AR-15 components must be followed. This will be FFL to FFL unless you can do FtF and then I will need to see proof that you can possess these lawfully.

Enough of that. I have up for sale a FDE Billet Upper/Lower set from the group buy done several years ago. I haven't had the time or money to use them so they have sat in my safe since then. I'm asking $400 shipped. That will cover my FFL fees and shipping. You will be responsible for paying your own FFL fee for pickup. See the pics below.

Yeah, it is Cali. I don't think you can buy them, but if you can then I'm willing to sell the set to you. I just don't want to get anyone in trouble or lose the set. Why don't you check with your local FFL who'd receive them to see if it is legal there?

If you're in CA, make sure that your FFL will accept a stripped lower via FFL for private party transfer. The FFL's around me don't want to deal with them now.

As a lone stripped lower, it is by definition featureless since it doesn't have the cosmetic features that CA deems assault-weapon-worthy. Really though, if you're going to get it, make sure your FFL will accept it. As soon as you add the "dangerous" features, you're legally supposed to register it as a CA assault weapon although I believe there is no such provision put in place to do so just yet (they said you're supposed to do it as soon as they build the mechanism for registration and make it available).

Or build it out to be featureless.

Yeah man, most people don't because a majority of California gun laws make no sense :D

What is the coating on these?

EDIT: I don't think this is for me right now as much as I wish it could be. Best of luck with the sale.

Interested for sure, but I'm new to guns as I became legal to own a firearm recently, so I have a few questions. Should I PM or just ask here? I'm in TX, btw.

Yes, it is. My thing is, though, I am still on a shaky ground with my legal status since I am a conditional resident (I am legal to live in US as long as my asylum case is in process), so my NICS check usually takes over a week.
Another concern of mine is whether FBI is keeping track of my background checks. I have purchased 2 guns in the last 2 months, I don't want them pegging me as a potential terrorist for buying guns. I'm just trying to catch up with 10 years of not being able to own a gun lol

According to every Texan I've ever met the FBI has no jurisdiction down there unless they allow it. You should be fine. It's the ATF you need to worry about. They don't care one bit about setting fire to Texas. :)

As long as you're legal to purchase there is no limit to the number of weapons you can buy. The transfer will be through FFLs so I'd check with yours to be sure. Your FFL can hold the receivers till you can pick them up.

FBI is the one conducting NICS checks in Texas. I know I can legally own as many guns as I want to, but my legal status in US is in the hands of federal government (USCIS, to be more specific) and unlike Americans, I gotta tread lightly around Uncle Sam.

I have an FFL dealer nearby that I use, I'll go see them today to see what it'll take for them to accept my package (some dealers around here are known to overcharge people.

Have you had a chance to speak with your FFL yet?
