30B924B5-3C67-4CCC-941C-ED589D9972FB.jpeg I just got a Esee 4 yesterday and when I attached the belt clip plate it sits so high it’s hard for my old shoulders to pull it out. A couple people suggested a molle back but I’m looking for other ideas. I saw a yt video that had a extended kydex mount plate but it was for the 5 & 6. Is there something like that for the 4?

You’ll need the small adapter I believe

The man that owned sagewood passed away recently so I’m not sure his stuff is still available.

They might be. Maybe his wife is selling off left over inventory or someone took over the business. I have one of their danglers on my ESEE 5 and it’s really good.

I hurt my back earlier this week so I’m sidelined for another day or two resting it. Remembered this thread and thought “hey let’s mess around with this.” Got out some Kydex, heat gun, drill and belt sander. Not very pretty but for a first try I’ll take it.

I forgot to post an update on this. I decided to buy a piece of kydex and play. 2 pieces of 8x8 for $8 through Amazon.
I watched a couple youtube videos first which helped a lot. I learned that if you don’t like the results that you can heat it up and flatten it out to start over. I only had to do that once.
So here are my results. It dropped the knife a little over 4” D6DA9D20-B77C-4417-AE43-5C4FBFC3B835.jpeg E658FABA-0A2C-40A9-AFA1-C730801F97B3.jpeg

I'll have to dig for some pictures but the ls/5/6 clip plate will fit the 3/4 sheath with very little modifications. I took a round chain file and filed the holes onto an oval shape, the 3/4 sheath eyelet are spaced the same vertically but closer together horizontally.

    Found some:

Well shoot it was the owner of Sagebrush customs that he was speaking about that passed away not Sagewood gear. My apologies! Glad you’re alive and well!

For my E5 I modified the clip plate by removing the metal clip and screwing on a tech lock onto it and it works great.
