B fat gets my seal of approval. Used it today to grease up the divot for bow drill and dammit if its a wonder substance. Thanks to bigjake for getting me a couple and a patch to show my pride.

I like it too. Used it on the cleaver sheath.

Just push up a small amount, slice it with a knife, drop it in your tinder. Depending on how much you use, I've had cotton balls burn for over a minute.

Packed a tube of this in my gear for the trip later this month.... I work on the principal that it is multi use, treat my boots, grease the pan, light a fire and if we run out of food I can just lick it like a lollipop to get myself by.... :D:D

I'd warranty that knife. All the black coating is gone.

I have to say I'm impressed that you were able to get B-Fat to light that rock on fire.

Adding a bit to the divot makes the spindle quiet and likely decreases heat on the hand.

Usually jute goes up in a poof. With b fat it stabilized it for what you claim. Easy minute... likely longer.
