Firearms season in my area is downright dangerous: short in days, and full in people. Flying projectiles abound. Thus, I started archery hunting years ago. Plus, it is not as cold during archery season, and therefore more comfortable for my old bones. Having tagged one last week, I spent this week as the camp cook and fire tender. Trailer holds bunks for sleeping, and the blue ice fishing pop up stores clothes and serves as a changing location. Camp has a nice swing grill for cooking over the fire pit. It also served as a drying rack for the rain soaked wood. Food pics...
Great looking camp !!! I did the same here in Colorado when I first moved here. Rifle season was absolutely crazy s I switched over to bowhunting and loved it. Harvesting an animal became almost secondary to the peace, quiet, and scenery.
I love to camp minimalist style, but I also enjoy a 10” memory foam mattress. I started rifle hunting again after a few years. I just had to learn how/when to go. Archery season is my favorite, by far. I love the bacon flavored spam. It is even better when fried in real bacon grease. Thanks. It was truly a great time.
Bushy, We are about the miles off of a paved road. Mutual respect with the other hunters in there, they have the same type of set ups. And, usually there is someone in camp already tagged out...didn’t did not feel like going...overslept...etc.
