in SC (GO COCKS). This is Old Number One. That many of you have used and abused: Tested on Real Animals, indeed.
Hey @Expat where in SC did you go gator hunting, that’s my neck of the woods and would love to bag a gator.
On a side note, cut tail into chunks, marinate for several hours in course ground mustard roll in cornmeal and deep fry. It’s good as heck.
Santee We launched right on the Georgetown/Charleston county line. Go down 17, get off at the boat launch and take the river system toward the ocean
That's what I've heard. The guys I hunted with just take the tail and the jowls. They don't fool with trying to get a little here and there off the torso.
Oh No, the legs are like little roast for slow moist cooking. Not much meat on the ribs but they are good eating.
I have had that exact prep and dish up here in Vancouver BC of all places!!!! . Local meat importer brings in Emu, gator, rattlesnake, catfish etc. One of the fancy bistros did a gator kebab night - it was EPIC!
That's how we used to do it at the restaurant I worked at, Its a wild game restaurant so we had all kinds of different creatures to experiment on.
