Ever thought about plowing a fire break around the perimeter and do a controlled burn?

Could you pull off a controlled burn safely? They use that here when conditions are right and it really helps get new growth rolling.

Wow. 35 minute SHORTER commute! That’s crazy talk. Not sure I could live with long commutes.

Yea it was gonna be an hour and a half for the wife. I think it’s nuts but she used to commute to Brooklyn 2hrs each way everyday. She’s gonna be at an hour and I’ll be about 45 minutes now. The money makes the commute worth it for both of us. She makes close to what I do now thankfully.

I'm the same way with any burning other than marshes. I know with my luck I'll cause a damn forest fire lol

Why not? Fires a natural thing.
It's all about planning, disc/plow a 10ft fire break around the perimeter and watch the weather channel just before a good rain light it up.

Well you're one lucky son of a bitch !!!

My brother-in-law and I always say we are taking our snowblowers to FL with us when we retire. Just stick them out in the side yard and piss on them every morning till they finally rust away. :p :D

How much thrust do these snowblowers produce? Might be able to repurpose them on a John boat as a makeshift airboat;)

Crazy is right but it's a sweet blade for sure. All the edges are sharp as hell too, so gloves will be required.

.....finding the balance between driving time and how you want to live is always a tough thing. You look like you are there. We are both in positions that can see us moved all around Sydney and the whole damned state in fact (less likely they would force that on us as opposed to us choosing a posting out of metro). From where we picked we can manage about any spot they put us in across metro Sydney. Not saying there are not still shi++y drives to be had though. It does make it easier when you are going to and from a spot you are happy in though. Mrs is on about 75% of my salary and is only one likely promotion away from the same. Bring it on I say. I will miss her having to call me “Sir” on those few occasions we cross paths in the working day though.
