Did the Angels Landing trail with my kids (16 and 13). Breathtaking climb and scenery. It was a little rainy at first. Temps were in the high 40's to Low 50's which was just about perfect. Luckily got there early enough to avoid the crowd on the way up...ran into some congestion on the way back down.

This is the view from the shuttle stop. The top of the mountain in the middle is the destination.

Be warned, that place is addicting. Zion is a drug to me.

I can see why. If it wasn't such a long drive from Iowa, I think it would be in regular rotation.

I'm in Alabama and if I can't get out there at least twice a year I'm in complete depression.

After watching you tube videos on that trail I was super intrigued but also a little nervous because Im not great with heights. There are sections of the trail near the peak where you have a chain to hang on to and the trail is probably only a few feet wide or sometimes slanted. I just kept my head down and focused on my next step and it was no problem.

I hiked to Black Elk peak in South Dakota about 18 months ago and really really enjoyed that one but this one beats it.

Its hard to believe how beautiful Zion is.

Yes sir, no way the awesomeness of Zion can be captured in any photo or video. You have to live it.

Bryce Canyon today. Very different scenery and much less strenuous hike!
