Anyone familiar with this? I found a couple in a house I was cleaning out today and don't know the first thing about them.

you found those in the farmhouse?

DEL man , BUY A METAL DETECTOR, and not a cheap one. You are SITTING ON a property full of history.........good or bad, it doesn't matter.....your sitting on HISTORY.......I bet the former occupants parents of your new farm, fought in Germany and brought home souvenirs.

    those are genuine .

I would contact a historical society that specializes in WW1/2 and let them loose on your property. How many secret crawl spaces have you NOT found yet? :)

I'm not sure about the double decal one, but I think the iron cross one is a fake, I can't find any evidence of that decal on a helmet. Plus most of the decals are over the ears.

The one with the iron cross looks Russian. The double decal looks like the m35 German helmet. They were made by multiple countries and production continued post war. The decals look too nice. I would suspect a forgery.

They are decals so I suspect they are faked. They are real helmets for sure, just not original representatives.

@Bushman5 they are from that farmhouse in the other thread, but it's not a new house, just a family house. Been in the family more than 160 years at this point.

The better forgeries use paint. The wear on the decal should be similar to the wear on the rest of the helmet.
