Ive wanted a Cabot Southpaw for years. After talking to one of their "Models" and a Sales Guy at an NRA convention, I realized Cabots aren't actually meant to shoot. Esp. the ones with Wooly Mammoth Unicorn Grips.
1911's are great, if your still in 1911. Never once been in a multiple day training class with a 1911 that didn't malfunction. The owners always swear its the ammo?
Was this when he was pinned down in Iraq, and forgot to put the truck in drive? I wonder if he ever threw it in the gravel, and jumped up and down on it. I'm guessing they don't run that drill anymore.
Ha! He recently got a Cabot arms and has been using it. He's using it at a Vickers class next month. I'm not sure they run that drill any more.....
Never shot a Cabot, but they are beautiful. Have shot a few Wilsons. The ones I shot were awesome, once you found the right ammo. .
I agree with Yeager (well, what Yeager used to say): I don't have a 1911 or a Harley cause I don't have the time to keep them running
I had a Kimber and a Springfield. Loved 'em, but as a carry gun, I'd unload when I got home (kids), then reload when I'd leave again. The force of the slide racking from the constant loading would compress the rounds to 1/8" shorter. I sold them both.
