I've been slack on my reading this summer but I'm in the middle of these two: "Whirlwind: The American Revolution and the War that Won It" "Signature in the Cell: DNA and the Evidence for Intelligent Design"
Financial Valuation and Interest Rate Concepts and Calculations by Dr. Allen Bizzell Yield curves, can I get a woot woot! Y'all feel me?
Half way thru Mark Rippetoes Starting Strength. If your into weight training thus is a good one. Old school and hardcore. I like his perspective on strength training.
I'd love to see this made into a movie. One of my favorite fiction reads. Red cliffs of zerhoun is as good.
Reading One Second After again. One Second after I Found out there is One Year after I thought it would be cool to read One Second after again while waiting for my ordered one year after. Got it?
A whole range of things, but - pertinent to the forum: Finished Nessmuk and reading Kephart (who dedicated his book to Nessmuk). Next up, in the same vein: “Shelters, Shacks, and Shanties,” by Daniel C. Beard.
I drive for work so I live on audiobooks... Mostly I read fantasy but I toss in other stuff occasionally... In the last six months I've read/listened to tons of books...here are what I've read recently Riyria Chronicles -by Michael J Sullivan- excellent Age of Myth Michael J Sullivan- goes along with the above series as an explanation of the beginning of time (currently reading age of swords series) Harry Potter - j.k.rowling -one of my faves Inheritance cycle (Eragon series)- Christopher Paolini- also a fave Going Home series -A. American- love it currently on book 9 The Hobbit- JRR Tolkien - also currently reading Lord of the Rings
@OutdoorsFamilyMan I also love me some Harry Potter books... They are a easy read and not so far sci-fi or creative fiction that it seems extremely made up. (If that makes sense) I have actually read all the original books And will be picking them up again as comparison books for reading in Spanish.
Bushcraft by Mors Kochanski is my current physical book, on my phone I'm reading West idf the Tularosa by Louis L'Amour.
I'm struggling to read through The Seven Pillars Of Wisdom, by T.E. Lawrence (Lawrence Of Arabia.) It's his account of his time in the middle east. Fascinating story, but his sentence structure is just plain weird making it hard to read.
