^^ love your stove @Pineland_Yeti ! Walking Grim in the woods, brought along the Kelly Kettle Trekker to get my water boiling quick and the Esee 6 for making tiny sticks and curls to get the fire going. The KellyKettle is always a bit smokey Grim's enjoying a snack in the background A peek inside the chimney is alwaya cool Whistle blowing loud now my water's boiling... I have a love / hate relation with that sound And coffee is ready
Received a package from australia this week from a friend there. He's making pouches and asked me to try these out. I'm very exited with these. materials feels very sturdy and well made. The auscam looks sweet imho. Plenty of room in the 'tactical pencil case' and the Esee 6 pouch fits perfect on the standard sheath, even with the molle back the standard screws are long enough to attach it. Bottom of the pouch is attached with a shockcord that lashes through the bottom holes. Filled the larges pouch with my cooking gear, a small cutting board, folding bowl and cup from Sea to Summit, Firebox Nano, a spatula, spork and skewer/fork for sausages... with room for more. The knife pouch fits a nice size tin (there's punkwood in mine), ferro-rod, striker and still some spare room. Need to get out for a some real world testing soon
That's awesome! I'd really dig something like that. I have a auscam smock that I like a lot. That camo works pretty good for me . Spring and fall. Great work.
Went for a nice long walk with Grim this afternoon. Sunny and warm but sorta heavy winds. Brought gear to setup al small camp, make lunch and chill a bit. Needed my bigger day-pack to bring everything When I decided what would be the spot for 'camp' I cut some long pegs for my tarp Overview of my day-camp After my tarp and hammock were setup for shade and blocking the wind I boiled water for coffee. Decided to use my alcohol stove as we haven't seen rain in weeks and forest fires are on the news almost daily where I live. Don't' think a wood fire would be the safest thing right now. Coffee's ready Preparing my rolls And cutting my sausage into slices Grim smells something... Must be the sausage that makes him drool Adding an egg as eggs make almost every sandwich better Everything's ready now Happy days are here again Time to beak up camp and go home again.
….very pretty. Carried it much ? I am in two minds about dangler sheaths. I see the advantage of the low ride but the swinging around bothers me. How have you found the 6 in the field ? I have a 6HM that is a favourite of mine.
I got this from a guy who bought and lost it behind his gun safe and now it’s mine. Never used once in almost 20 years.
