Some pimping I did to the scales on this Shaman and Native Chief! And I ground off the nub on Shaman. It really bothered me on closing. And the scales on Shaman needed some texture for me. They were way to slick.
Nice! What's your druthers on these two? I've been hemmin' and hawin'...
Both are great! The Shaman has a nub off the ricasso tho. That when you close the knife it hurt my finger. Most people get by just fine with it tho. And the Native Chief model is probably my favorite model. The geometry, sharpness, and backlock are all perfect for me. Just added the grooves for aesthetics and some grippiness. The Shaman was also way to slick for me so I added the grooves and it helped a bunch.
Thanks, I may just have to pick up a Chief at some point. I like the slim build and I already have a Manix 2 Backlock that's prolly just as stout as the Shaman.
Yes! Do it, I just got a NC in Rex 45 ! And love it.
new Para 3 SE M4 blade with these not so great scales. So I dyed them Emerald green.
How did it come out?
Spyderco Wata CPM 20cv Oh and I bought this crazy looking knife as well. It was in the case and I just wanted to see it. And man when I put it in my hands it felt great. I needed to have it. So….
Before and after
Nice job. Wasn’t to bad maybe another adjustment tweaks after but that’s it
