Went camping again this weekend. I may have also been drinking and taking photos of my knives...allegedly.
@DSD. My favorite 5 on the planet, love that thing!!!!!!!!!!! It is just completely wicked. I need to get you to do that to my old user when I recover from all my recent purchases LOL...... Every time I see your 5, first words out of my mouth are, "just damn".
Being a novice handle maker myself I'm curious as to what type of wood that is and where you snagged it. Thanks in Advance! Excellent looking "tank". Happens to be one of my favorite Esees!
That is a prime specimen - the patina, the etching, the wood, the matching beads. Looks fuggin' beautiful! Is that spalted buckeye burl? Looks similar to some of the "grail" Alembic guitars I used to drool over years ago.
My overly large, underused collection. I like the 4 and the 5, obviously: The quiver of fours. Izulas and oddballs. Big boys. If/when the 6HM comes out, I think the FDE 6 will be sold off and replaced with the HM model. Projects. Upcoming spalted tamarind with red fiber liners for the 4, curly birch with red liners for the 6 and elk antler for the izula. The orange handle fivers. Fives. Probably the easiest of the lineup to find a great deal on, which is a large part of why I have so/too many. The orange army lives!
