It gets me in trouble everytime....but I can't stop myself pronouncing "Mahindra" in a very bad Indian accent. The brand has been out here for many years now and is not highly regarded. But they are cheap.

The towing capacity is the only thing that caught my attention. I’m looking at a 74 cj5 it would be more work but my preferred option

they are adorable and I would love to have one, but the $$$ is a bit steep.
for similar $$, I could get a well maintained vintage CJ8.

Agreed, you could buy a less than well maintained, refinish it to your perfect jeep and still be in the same price range.

@DYSPHORIC JOY i'd buy this before i'd buy a utility SxS. if you want to go fast then this isn't for you, but it's likely the perfect hunting buggy.

that said, i bet they come out with some awesome aftermarket stuff for this guy... should be interesting.

regarding mahindra, their tractors are great and they have a very long history of making excellent licensed vintage jeep copies. not concerned about the mechanics of this thing one bit.

also, turbodiesel? yes, please. solid axles? yes, please.

the more i look at it the more i bet it's a street legal vehicle in india that they are selling as a UTV (at a huge markup) over here in the states.. love it. $20k though, i dunno. i can have a lot of fun in a fast SxS for that kind of dough.

Agreed! This thing is crazy cool, but for that cash I could really trick out a woods buggy platform if that was what I was after. Said chosen platform would be about a 1987 Samurai by the way. Not for long distance, but they'll fit in a tight spot.

Yeah, they're not winning any safety awards.
