    From the news here yesterday...

    http://www.news.com.au/technology/s...d/news-story/44c5af39ea56bce69dda17feeccce5e0

....it's Melbourne....not sure how to describe Melbourne to non Aussies.... a bit life San Fran, with some Seattle thrown it. That Police set up a cordon around it and waited for a snake catcher just stuns me....they certainly would have had better jobs to do. I am not a lover of snakes, but at the same time I don't ever espouse "the only good one is a dead one" either. In this case however Constable Plod should have just grabbed a shovel, whacked Terry Tiger Snake with it (oh and no, Google away, you really DON'T want to be bitten by a Tiger Snake) and everyone moved on.

Dragged the canoe out yesterday and checked out the island out back, definitely looks like Ms G is going to be nesting there.

Are you sure you're milking them correctly?
Yellow rat or everglades rat? The two always trip me up.

......I rarely ever see them out. They tend to frequent dark places and wait for victims. Just have to be careful in Spring as they get out and about looking to shagg. The shoe/boots banging routine (to make sure one has not moved into said footwear) is well recognised here.

Yep nothing wakes you up faster than a hot cup of coffee in the morning, except a nasty bite/sting in the foot
