Agreed. There's a Hinderer wharncliffe fixed blade that I'm lusting after, but I CAN NOT buy another knife right now.... :D

When you figure out how "not to buy another knife" let us know. It will save me a lot of money! :D

Thanks. It is definitely a separation from other folders and that's what made me buy it.

Four beautiful Fiddleback Forge Monachs. Everyone needs one of Andy’s knives in their collection.

Really liking this Leuku from Finland. Usually would carry a smaller blade when carrying one larger such as this. But it balances and works so well that I haven't really felt the need. IMG_2782.JPG

Wow, I bought a Colonial just like that in a 5 n 10 store in 1978 for a $1.00 usd. Would take an edge like a dang razor. :)

It's one gorgeous knife! That's a seriously hard wood, I've had a few friends over the years make bows from it.

How well something works has nothing to do with how good it looks as we all know. Wouldn't be surprised Sam if that's a knife your father used and can pass on to your kid.

Yes he used it and my mother used it as well. As I get older I appreciate the older stuff especially when it has a family connection.. Used my fathers shotgun quite a bit the past fall bird hunting and I love the Marlin 30/30 he gave me a couple years ago, it was made in 1961, same age as me.. Miss my old man soon be a year.
That old knife has cut a lot of meat

What I was trying to say (I edited it) was How well something works has nothing to do with how it looks. But I assume you figured that out. Great to have things your family used in your home.
