    Slight correction to this: For us, it's still a SMKW exclusive but Smoky is selling to other dealers without the SMKW logo on the right hand side. We only sell the JG5 to SMKW though.

    I would be SUPER CAREFUL here....that old adage "if it's too good to be true...."

    I know the cost of these knives and some this way, WAY off here....looking into this account.

    That link was to the third JG5 that seller has sold, it just went off. I was a bit nervous but then figured if it was a fraud then I could always get my money back from paypal or ebay. Got the knife yesterday and everything looks legit. Came just like like most my ESEE knives and was sealed in the plastic wrapper, the SMKW return slip and invoice were not in the box but in the package with it. The invoice threw me off when I saw it, I edited out my name and address in photo shop, Seller was listed as being from Philly but it appears they were from Phoenix and had it shipped direct to me. Odd the in voice showed a higher price than what I paid them on ebay. Curious what you find on this deal, anything I should be looking at if it is a fake?????

    No doubt the knife is genuine. We're tracking down what took place here because that price is way under what we sell the knives to distributors for. So, my bet is this was some type of trade deal that happened for a few JG5s and the seller just wanted to dump them.

    That was just the belt I had it on scout style but you could make a leather dangler pretty easy.

    There is a very high likelihood that these are stolen knives. It is absolutely not a legitimate dealer selling these regardless of what the paperwork says that comes with the knife. Stay tuned.

    They just listed another one this morning. The knife I got was shipped directly from SMKW.

    These knives are the result of credit card fraud. Smokey is working now trying to figure out how to block the transactions but for the time being know that if you buy from this dealer you are buying from a thief. I've never been big on superstition but I wouldn't want to trust a knife that came to me in this way.) AT the very least Smokey is examining every order that comes in now for JG5 knives now and will void any order that comes in with a "Ship To" and "Sold To" address that do not match. That means the thief will get your $60 and you will get nothing.
    Since Ebay refuses to help by revealing any details about the seller to the retailer or manufacturer I will go back to my original stance on Ebay. It is a thieves' marketplace.

    The seller will end up with this noted in their feedback. People will not be out their money though, eBay or PayPal will cover it eventually. I hate to see these things go on though, I made a living for several years selling antique tools on eBay, none of which were stolen!

    The seller has been removed from eBay, money is being refunded. Katie Koch was the sellers name, given on the refunds.

    Never heard anything from SMKW, this was through eBay, money was only refunded on the knives that never shipped.

    I’ve seen Jg5’s from the a different seller for really cheap. I messaged him about buying one but he didn’t respond.
