I just watched London Has Fallen. Pretty good for a popcorn movie. I'm working my way through Star Trek: Deep Space 9. I watched ST: Voyager as a kid and recently breezed through ST: The Next Generation.
While eating a dinner of grocery store rotisserie chicken ($1 off coupon), left over pork fried rice from a Chinese dinner late last week, and Bush's Country Style Baked Beans from a can (yes, $ are very slim right now as I prepare to earn my first $ in Bangor soon), I watched Anthony Bourdain's Parts Unknown Season 3, Episode 3: Lyon. Now, I'll confess, I'm a fan of his show. Part chef, part traveler, part connoisseur of fine cuisine, part Hunter S. Thompson. But this episode -- Lyon -- is the best of the best. If you like food, really good food -- I'm talking about the most expensive dishes on Earth (I can't afford them, but they're fun to look at) -- the history of where truly epic, great recipes came from, and real people -- even if they are French -- watch this one. Skip the rest if you don't like them, but don't miss this one. There's even duck hunting with one of the greatest French chefs of history -- 88 years old -- near the end. OK, time for half a raspberry filled doughnut for desert.
I love his shows and i believe i saw that tweet one too.he is in france quite offen as his brother or half brother still live there.as far as the food goes, well, that s one thing us french have going on.
A couple of seasons of Meateater with Steve Rinella are now on Netflix. The three episodes where he is in Bolivia hunting with the natives is particularly interesting.
Yeah, it's probably my favorite podcast. I've only seen a couple episodes of the show, but have listened to all of the podcasts. Most more than once.
Sherlock F is for family Breaking bad (if you were under a rock and haven't seen it yet) Luther The fall Broadchurch Penny dreadful Beasts of no nation (movie) Sense8
Yeah I was going to add Meateater. I've enjoyed the few I've caught on TV, and enjoy the podcast on long drives. Steve has an interesting philosophy and seems like a cool guy in general.
I think someone else said it best on the old forum: Rinella is the kind of guy that is entertaining to listen to no matter what he's talking about.
Absolutely this^ I've never missed an episode of his show. Which happens to be the only hunting show I always have recorded. I've told my girlfriend many times, I wish I could put thoughts into words half as well as he does.
But on topic, narcos is awesome. I'm finished with season two, and without giving anything away, they're setting up future seasons perfectly. Another good show is The Ranch. It's a comedy with Ashton Kutcher, Danny Masterson, and Sam Elliott. Not amazing by any means but something about it gets you hooked.
The Ranch = That 70s Show moves to Texas with Sam Elliot. Just waiting on Red and Donna to show up... The wife and I watched it and it's not too bad.
Surprised no one else has mentioned it yet, but British top gear. Still can't believe they cancelled it. However the grand tour comes out in a few weeks so that makes up for it
I finished watching Copper for the second time. Now, I'm rewatching Hell on Wheels for the third time. Great shows both.
Another recommendation for Netflix about meat eaters. Happy people: Taiga. I'd post a video, but I can't. Just search it.
