...have this 1948 violent puppet show of Mr. Punch and Judy. And with only a very brief interlude of racism, even! I have a rather dark sense of humor, and so I'm quite a fan of the tradition of Punch and Judy shows. This is one of the more masterfully done ones out there, and the Professor (puppeteer in Punch and Judy tradition) was famous enough that he performed for royalty on a number of occasions, which is saying something for a kind of entertainment best known for being performed at the seaside for more common folk.
