Went into the farm supply this past week and went to look at the CASE Trapper knives [They are sure nice but expensive]. I noticed they also had belt slide sheaths made by ARIAT for sale. Tooled and fancy, canted at an angle to facilitate an easy draw, but looked to be thin leather - like machine rolled. And pricey as heck! So, I thought about it a while `cause I really liked them, and thought, "I can make that myself and better!" So this weekend I made two for my slipjoints and I had fun wearing and using them all weekend. Only cost me my time and effort.

Looks good. What are the carvings? I feel like they are owls.

Yes, Owls. I have to lead an interpretive hike for a group of cancer survivors later this month. I thought it'd be fun to send them away with a little carving after the hike.
