    this is how I understand it but I've been wrong before....

    So the Laser Strike is a High Saber grind and has a secondary bevel (at the blade) or in this case it convexed.

    All of these are High Scandi that do NOT have a secondary bevel...

    Just got a CR&T Berserker axe I found at a Cabelas this week.

    2lbs 1055 steel, hickory handle. Didn't come sharp but wasn't too much trouble to get it sharp.
    I'm from Scandinavian stock and love bladed tools & weapons, this was an affordable way ($60) to get a Norse style axe. I've been into Norse mythology and love the universe that Tolkien made, its good to finally have this style.

    Casstrom Lars Fält I just picked up. Always wanted a nice Scandi blade.

    I have the CRKT Freyr axe and had the same thoughts: overall well made, but not very sharp at all. I reprofiled the edge and have used it a bit over the last year or so and it’s held up well.

    Thanks! It's really comfortable too. I used it this weekend fishing and processing wood for a campfire with the kids.
