no preference here. Happy to trial anything. My knives tend to be very similar in 3.5-4.5 inches so it will be fun to try something outside of the norm.

I can go last again since mail here is slower than the 48.

I'm the 1/8" or 5/32" guy. In the past I've tried 3/16" and 1/4" but blades that thick proved cumbersome and unwieldy so I tend toward thinner stock now.

My vote would be for 6". Size matters, right? :p

Heat treat is complete! There are a couple twist in the plan…..

    First: I thought I had 3/16” stock but I only had 5/32” & 1/4” so I went with 5/32”.

Second: I usually use 80crv2 but this time I used 8670. It’s supposed to be tougher than 80crv2 and 1095 with similar edge holding. I’m interested in the feedback.

    Happy New Year!

Thanks! I would’ve had them finished today but……I got a little carried away making knives and used up my last couple belts. I ordered a bunch almost two weeks ago but they still haven’t shipped. I could just leave the forge finish and have them done in an hour. You guys wouldn’t have shiny blades to play with then though. Lol

Oh yeah, chunky handles too. That's great for those of us with XL paws.

I agree 100%. Nice looking handles. Should fit a hand nicely! Also like the micarta. That stuff is turning into my favorite for wet grip safety.
Looking forward to trying it out

I didn’t think they needed one since they have the tubes.
